Dalowog nagtala ng bagong record sa shot put

Ang atleta ng probinsya ng Kalinga na si Paul Nikko M. Dalowog ay nagtala ng bagong record sa kasaysayan ng CARAA sa larong Shot Put, 12.31 metro sa katatapos na CARAA 2019 na ginanap sa Apayao Athletic Bowl, Luna, Apayao noong February 27-March 2.  

Ang 17 taong gulang na si Dalowog na mula sa bayan ng Pinukpuk ay nakasungkit din ng bronze metal sa Discus Throw.

Powered with devastating attacks and shots fueled with strong determination, Apayao Eagles attained back to back champion title as they crushed the Abra Stallions in a Basketball Girls 3x3 Championship Game, 20-7, on Friday, March 1 at Bienvenido Verzola Gymnasium, Luna, Apayao. The marginal play came into powerful team defense of Apayao Eagles that downed Abra Stallions.

Sa isports, kadalasang tinitingala ng mga manonood ang mga naglalakasang atleta. Iyon bang tinatawag nilang “ACE PLAYERS” kung saan ‘pag sa basketball iyon bang walang palya sa mga tira, 100% walang mintis. Subalit, sa totoo lang, sa likod ng bawat magagaling na atleta ay mga taong mas dapat pang hangaan na hindi lang napapansin. 

Apayao Eagles struggles for first win, Tabuk City Brewers drops

Apayao Eagles emerged victorious after soaring above the stirring powers of the Tabuk City Brewers in men’s volleyball, 25-23, 27-25, in the CARAA 2019 last February 27 at EKB Memorial Gymnasium and Multipurpose Building, Pudtol Apayao. 
The game brought so much tensions for the Eagles having the fact that it’s their home court and majority of the spectators are from their homeland. The crowd goes wild like thunder after both teams showed their impeccable play, powerful spikes, towering blocks and flawless receives on the first set. 

Ifugao holds off Abra for first win

Ifugao Builders was able to build a strong defense against Abra Stallions in women’s volleyball, 25-23, 25-14, in the CARAA 2019 last February 27 at EKB Memorial Gymnasium and Multipurpose Building, Pudtol Apayao. 
The Abra Stallions succeeded to keep a lead in the first set with a 4-point advantage against Ifugao Builders but the game turns its back from Stallions after the Builders manage to regain their power that forced stallion to commit errors failing them to return the ball properly that landed outside the line making them notched the set, 25-23. 

APAYAO EAGLES CONQUEST MT. PROVINCE BRAVE MOUNTAINEERS

Luna, Apayao - Apayao Eagles crushed the Mountain Province Brave Mountaineers, 68-34, in a basketball elementary boys duel at the Aliwa Gymnasium here on February 27. 

The shooting power of Bradd Rescopin and Gian Clyde Duarte and the rebounds of the mighty towers Bunot and De Jesus resulted a 10-point lead of the 1st quarter, 21-11.

Brave Mountaineers tried to steal the lead of the Eagles by fast breaks, steals and traps but with Eagles’ expertise on dribbling and assist, they dominated the 2nd quarter with 27-19.

Guests from CO pin words of wisdom to the CARAA athletes

Athletes for the five- day sporting event were inspired and motivated by the words of wisdom pinned by  guests from the Central Office (CO) during the opening program of the Cordillera Administrative Regional Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet 2019 at the Athletic Bowl of Apayao Eco- Tourism Sports  Complex, Luna, Apayao, on February 27.
