Mt. Province stays in Baguio Central

School Heads from the Baguio City and Mt. Province Division dance with a song called “Bangan” during the welcome program for Mt. Province delegates billeted in Baguio Central School for CARAA 2017.

The Mt. Province delegation composed of 702 strong athletes and their coaches started arriving since February 1 in Baguio Central School as their host school and designated billeting area for CARAA 2017.

Nothing is impossible

Last year the Philippine won an Olympic medal for the first time. In 20 years. Hidilyn Diaz, a 25-year old weightlifter from Zamboanga, won the silver medal in Brazil for the 53-kilogram weight division.

Much like our Pambansang Kamao, Senator Manny Pacquiao, sports allowed Hidilyn to dream big and hope for the better. At such a young age she understood that sports could be a way to overcome her family’s poverty.

Team Baguio reigns supreme in CARAA

Ifugao named most clean and green delegation

BAGUIO CITY – In a show of undeniable supremacy, Team Baguio amassed an outstanding 212 gold, 91 silver, and 79 bronze medals to reign anew in the recently concluded Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet held here last February 6 to 10.

                The elementary players from the City of Pines raked in 88 gold, 35 silver, 30 bronze while their counterparts in the secondary level chipped in a 124-56-49 medal haul.

CARAA officiating officials to undergo refresher course

Officiating officials in this year’s Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic (CARAA) Meet must undergo a refresher course to start two days before the commencement of games this coming Saturday (February 6).

                “As always, we hope for clean, impartial, and commendable conduct of games during our CARAA,” said Dr. Agustin B. Gumuwang, Chief of the Education Support Services Division (ESSD) of the Department of Education.
