Baguio lady kickers lead futsal standings

The Baguio futsal team leads the standings with two wins, zero loss in the ongoing CARAA meet being held at the PFVR Gym, Baguio City.

Apayao, Benguet and Mt. Province have one win each in the last five games.

Valdazan E. Capuyan, tournament manager for futsal tells us, “This event has been happening for four years and it’s still new. With that, we have prepared our team by having them accredited and by letting them take refresher courses. This year’s CARAA is always improving in terms of the referees, coaches and the level of the game is going up.”

On how he sees the teams this year he quips, “Team Baguio is pretty solid. Some players from Benguet did not play anymore and that is one factor why Baguio is on top of their game.”

The semifinals will be held on February 7 and championship will be on the next day, February 8, at the PFVR Gym.
