             The Baguio City Futsal Team, the defending champions, shot out the Futsal Team of Benguet in an exciting and well-fought match here at the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) Gymnasium, in Lagangilang, Abra as the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet 2018 continues.

             The game was decided with a shoot-out after the 40 minute regulation ended with both teams scoring 4 goals each. In the shoot-out, Baguio City made 2 out of 3 goals while Benguet had only 1 of 3. The game started at 11am and Benguet was leading, 3-1, at the half. But Baguio City came strong in the second half scoring 3 goals against a lone goal for Benguet.

It was a sorry loss for Benguet especially that they had the twice-to-beat advantage over Baguio City. In the first game held at 9 o’clock this morning, Baguio City kicked Benguet with a 4-3 score.

Today’s loss were the only losses of Benguet in the CARAA Meet 2018. It should be remembered that Benguet dumped Bagiuo City last Tuesday afternoon with 4-3 score.
