Apayao Eagles struggles for first win, Tabuk City Brewers drops
Apayao Eagles emerged victorious after soaring above the stirring powers of the Tabuk City Brewers in men’s volleyball, 25-23, 27-25, in the CARAA 2019 last February 27 at EKB Memorial Gymnasium and Multipurpose Building, Pudtol Apayao.
The game brought so much tensions for the Eagles having the fact that it’s their home court and majority of the spectators are from their homeland. The crowd goes wild like thunder after both teams showed their impeccable play, powerful spikes, towering blocks and flawless receives on the first set.
Brewers, unmindful of the ear-clashing cheers that shroud the gymnasium able to compose their play that give them a 4 points lead, 20-16 but the adrenaline of the Eagles erupted giving the brewers a 4-0 run which tied them into 20-20.
Both teams showed determination to win the set but the Eagles spread its wing wide and slaps the Brewers, 25-23. As the light of the sun vanished, the light of hope for the Brewers started to brighten their will to dominate the second set maintaining a 2 points lead advantage, 21-19, Eagles reckon its full strength to steal the game giving the Brewers a strong wind of power that colds the hot Brewers in a 4-0 run.
Reignited by the heat of optimism, Brewers fired up tying the Eagles, 24-24. The Eagles decided to win used its magnifying eyes to look for chasm that leads the Brewers to their downfall, 27-25. The Brewers are still on the game and we will see if they can have a comeback for redemption.
