Apayao Lady Eagles clobbered their three opponents- Baguio E-Lions, Benguet Stingers and Abra Stallions on 3x3 secondary girls basketball games, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Bangued East Central School gymnasium. The ladies shouldered the offensive strike of the E-Lion ladies on the championship round. With the win, the Lady Eagles led to their victory on the quest for gold medal, thus, contributing to their province’s overall standing.
Zynthia Margarette Lappas, Rose Anne Pedronan, Althea Kate Baletbet and Ryzelle Ann Lemet received their gold medal the following day, morning, 7th of February 2018.
On the other hand, the Baguio E-Lion Boys- Angelo Cacho, Angelo Miguel Cabanban, Brendon Ramuelle Uy and Luis Emanuel Lising proved to be the best on 3 x 3 secondary boys basketball game. The E-Lion boys used its roaring defensive strategy to defeat the hungry Benguet Stingers at the gymnasium on Wednesday. Awarding was made in the afternoon of the same day. There’s no doubt that Baguio E-Lions are leading the overall standing of the CARAA 2018.
The 3x3 basketball game is played by three players with a substitute in a half court, finishing a 10-minute play to win the game or the team to first reach a score 21 wins. The results of the 3x3 girls: gold-Apayao, silver–Baguio and bronze-Abra while the result of the 3x3 boys: gold-Baguio, Silver-Benguet and bronze-Apayao.
