“In preparing the athletes for this year’s CARAA, we did a series of extensive training,” said Manny P. Cosme, the coach for Archery Secondary Girls of Team Baguio. He was also inspired by the statement earlier of SDO Baguio OIC-SDS Soraya T. Faculo that “it’s not just winning but it’s for the love of the game”.
John P. Hongitan, coach for Archery Secondary Boys of Team Baguio likewise stated that “life is a hitting target” and thanks the support of parents, the school head, and the media for the victory of his archers. Hongitan shared too that even the time of the pandemic, he together with his athletes conducted virtual training and competitions and let his athletes learn the technicalities of archery that make them more competitive in the range. “Patience and perseverance in shooting every day are key ingredients to becoming victorious in archery,” he added.
