Governor Joy welcomes CARAA officials

             Abra Governor Maria Jocelyn V. Bernos shared light moments with Deped, CARAA officials and LGU representatives from the six provinces and two cities of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) during the Governor’s Night held on Monday at the Abra Provincial Capitol Atrium. It was a night of songs and dances that featured the rich history and culture of the Province of Abra.

As the host governor, Bernos impressed the guests with a ceremonial toast wishing everyone good health and success in the CARAA 2018. She graciously did the roll call and acknowledge the presence of everyone who have graced the occasion.

The night was filled with music and dances. Local talents showcased a variety of performances. The Rondalla Ensemble serenaded the guests and visitors with an Ilokano Medley. Meanwhile, the Comedia Ilocandia of Bagalay, Tayum gave the spectators a good laugh while enjoying their sumptuous dinner.

The bolo dancers of Abra High School interpreted a century-old war dance of our Filipino ancestors and the ASIST Cultural Society featured the Tadek. Moreover, the Sakuting of Rosales Eduarte National high Scholl and the Timawa Dance of Bangued West Central School depicted the bayanihan spirit of the abraenios.

The DepEd CAR Regional Director, May B. Eclar, Ph.D. in her speech expressed her deepest gratitude to the Province of Abra for graciously hosting the CARAA 2018. Celebrity guests Nina and Rico J. Puno entertained the guests and visitors with OPM love songs.
